Just thought I throw this out to anyone who is scratching their head about this.

How many times have you taken someone for a ride and they melt their shoe on your pipes. Or, have you melted your own shoe? Needless to say, it doesn't look good. I'm sure many people have spent good $ to get the gunk off. I found a cheap solution. Mr. Clean sponges. Took two spots of my pipes in 5 minutes. The pipes were slightly warm when I scrubbed it off.
