Closing out the thread....
Desert valley took the bike back to the shop, again, disassembled, and found that a key spring had been installed backward. This caused the problem. It was not hydraulic.
Mike L. was very apologetic, and felt awful for all the problems.
FWIW....When the bike first came back to me, the give-away for me was the clutch was not fully engaging, until the very last outward (mm) travel of the clutch handle....the bike had never done that before. Now....the clutch is fully engaged much earlier, about halfway thru the travel, like when new..
Might be a good telltale that things aren't right when the clutch has been replaced??
