Finally the planets are aligned for the trip I've been thinking about for over a decade. Hopefully leaving the Atlantic Coast and enjoying our beautiful country via 2 wheels until I see the lucious blue of the Pacific. And then a bunch of riding around out west before I head back east. Details are sketchy at the moment- I'll be posting on probable route and looking for advice etc.
I've been reading so many ride reports here for years so I have a lot of great suggestions already. I keep a pad on my desk of places I want to see. Very long already. I know that wherever I go I will have an adventure. Which is my purpose for this trip afterall.
I hope you all keep your FJR directory info up to date. ya never know when I might be looking for a friendly tool box or tent space, etc.
If I can figure out Google maps, I'll post a likely route. Maybe that'll prompt some detailed suggestions from the experienced locals (I hope)
This is my first attempt at multi day ride over 2500 miles in length. That one was only 7 days. This will be 3 times that so I know I have some learning to do. I'm very grateful for the knowledge I've gleaned here over the years. Thanks to all who post their detailed and often humorous and always informative ride reports.
More to come.
