Ummmm....actually there were. The memories of the hotties in Montreal were the subject of considered concentration.....if you know what I mean. ;)
Just back from the dinner an IBR09 rider's meeting I attended.....and am groggy tired.

Yes, expect a write-up on this one to follow.

In the meantime, I have this very nice hand-blown vase George had made for the rally.....and very unique trophy.
Good job, Matt!! It's always great rallying with you. I'm going to take the time and go read your blogs to see what I can learn from the master.

Great job Matt! :yahoo:

I too enjoyed the blogging immensely, except there weren't enough posts. Next time, how about a post at every bonus location? ;)

So....You really are the Spankmaster....

Matt, I already said this in person, but I'll do it here as well - Congratulations!!

An absolutely mind-blowing ride it was!!!

So - I'm guessing that you have the optional FJR distance shrinker installed? Incredible !!!

Oh yeah - don't forget to shave.

NICE. Congrats Iggy. Now, just don't loose your phone during the IBR, and you will be all set. Ha-Ha.

I wish I had know what time you were going through Milwaukee, as I would have ridden up there and rode with you for awhile. Maybe I can catch you, or some of the other members during the IBR.

50-Thumbs-Up to an AWESOME Rally!!!!!!!!

Congrats! Glad to see the Chicago traffic was no match against your super-powers! :superman:

I'll be interested to read the report and to what extent you knew you'd be in contention for first place.

Awesome job Matt!! Outstanding ride!

Congratulations on your impressive victory. Double sorry I have to miss the IBA national meet this year.

Can't wait for the reports...

Honestly, I knew I had a solid ride....maybe in the Top 5...and was hoping for a podium.

I knew Crane was rocking monster miles and bonuses. And when my first contact with someone in the rally was Ken Meese at Pinks and he had initially snagged one more blue I thought if he was the median of Top 5 riders....that I would be lucky for a Top 5 myself. (I didn't know until the rally was over that he would have won if he hadn't lost his final drive on a BMW). Then talking with the two-up couple after rode a very similarly intensive ride as myself. Had they not blown a bonus would have a VERY similar score and maybe won.

Going to lunch.....I've slept for 11 hours and feel much better.

I really enjoyed watching your progress on the Spot, and riding vicariously along with you. Big kudos on your great ride!

Congrats Matt! I enjoyed reading your blog posts and following you on SPOT. It's pretty impressive you were able to blog and win the rally.
