Just out of curiosity there zorkler....you going to a job or just want to get out of the snow belt?....

I have 43 of my 46 years in NC. Been to (extensively) many other areas of US. Lived in Texas a while.

I cannot publicly convey my love for NC on this forum without starting some kind of massive counter-argument thread.

So PM a coming!

Zork, think abt moving just across the NC border to TN...NC has a state income tax, TN does not. Either way, you're near some of the bestest motorcycle roads in the country.

We also get less snow...

I'm not familiar with Morrisville, but I've liked all of the NC areas I've been in, and I live just 15 minutes from the border.

Less than me??? :)

I also like TN. Around the mountains the only way you can tell which state you are in is if you spot the dotted yellow line on the ground. :)

One BIG plus to living in NC. After a while you begin to understand the movie Deliverance.

Daughters live in NC, Charlotte area, oldest getting married end of May, I plan on attending, traveling via FeejerAir. Perhaps I might hook up with some of you Burt Reynolds wannabes. :D

I've thought about NC allot also. My cousin lives in Wilmington and my wife and I have talked about moving down there after my daughter finishes college. One concern though is heat in July and August.

All you fine FJR bretheren with children and other relatives around me, need to speak up and visit!

I'm one hour north of Wilmington, from the Charlotte area with family there, and have access to the family shack/cabin in the western part of NC.

Let's ride! or at least sit around, drink, tell lies and look at how purdy that sow is!

Ooops! Slappy gonna go all banjo on my *** now! Der der der der der der derrrrrr...

Hey boys, looki wut we got hyar, we got us a Honda!

:)

Rad, come on down. Post up a note sometime w/ your expected arrival dates in this neck of the woods and I'm sure some in the area can conduct a MC tour on the local roads. I have to be in Nag's Head, NC for a wedding late May/early June so I may/may not be here. But, if I'm around, will be glad to ride w/ you for a spell.

Rad, I'd like to show you a few roads in the Western NC area.......I'd bet Jeff and Travis (Slap) would want to also. jim

I had a mountain retreat in Boone, NC for 20 years. I got to, and still get to, spend about 3 mos. each year riding the high country of NC, TN, WVA,and VA. I've now decided to pretty much move up to that region full time....giving up Florida. With that in mind, I just recently sold my NC house and bought property in Mountain City, TN ....about 25 miles from my old house. I'm having a new home built and will go up permanently when it is ready. Less taxes and greater value for the buck were the reasons for switching to TN. Living at the foot of the " Snake " ...one of the greatest rides in the country...is a real plus as well.

Jarmo here

If you ever get over to the northeastern corner of NC let me know.

I live less then one hour from the outer banks.

We only have flat land to ride here and lots of nice fat jucy bugs.

The ride out to Cape Hatteras is nice .

Might even see some scantily clad female types on your ride .

I'm all da wayz up herez in ne VA. Cant say a lot about the area of NC youz be askin bout. But, I gotz really gud relasunz wit a dealership in Henderson.

My take on NC...IH 85 is one rough road. And, becauz of the state revenuerz in NC, I'm looking at Bristol TN for retirement.

Looks like a couple invitashunz to visit NC in dis thread? Got bike, you have cabin, will ride for free bed. :yahoo: (just not on the FJR until May...which I am picking up in...you guessed it...Henderson. Stop by Brewers...ask for David...tell em Gary sent ya)
