Now that the drama is over, have any of you considered or do you have a smuggler painted matt black? This may be a good option as it will not conflict with the color of the bike. This would work well for the GenIII.

I was thinking one wrapped in the Carbon Fiber might work well also. Mine is Cerulean Silver which is a blueish gray - it is a nice mix on the 06, right between the gray on the side panels and the blue on the bike.

I used black bed liner on the Cerulean Silver one I bought as the silver didn't blend well with my Black Cherry 07. Wasn't a bad choice for as many times I have kicked it, blends in with the seat well.
