Infrequent poster that admires the groups creativness.

My buddys son turns 18 soon. What is a good gift from a 'corrupting but caring' uncle?

The kid is responsible, good to his parents, buys his own gaming choices, is thinking LEO/Military for a career.

Other than a visit to an 'Adult' establishment, anyone with insight to the current genereation of kids 'secret thrills'?

Thanks, Sportster

Something like a rude tattoo in an inappropriate place may be pretty nice. Wait, wait, it is supposed to be a night of drinking and ladies before the tattoo goes on. Keeping up with the younger generation, you should post the video of it on the web so the next morning when he asks what happened he and 65 million of his closest friends can watch it play out in its entirety. It'll give him something to be proud of, and a real world reference should he want to go to college or get a job!

18 and "mostly responsible" doesn't give us much to go on. Does he ride or shoot or hunt? How much is uncle willing to spend??

Remember that as fun as taking him drinking may be, since you're not his parent and he's under 21, its probably a felony in your state.

If he likes video games, see if he has the new Halo 4, or Modern Warfare 3. Both are bad ***. If he has an X Box, pay for his year's X Box live subscription...and a subscription to Maxim...Just to freak his parents out.

Wow you would be a great uncle!

Rent him a real nice 22 year old Hooker.

He will never forget it.
Main problem there is it could turn into 'the gift that keeps on giving'!!

Times change. Kids no longer turn to someone they respect as a role model for inspiration. Real heroes are passe since Hollywood dusted off "Super-Heroes" for kid's consumption. No competition there.

Question: Are you attempting to possibly undermine the admirable qualities this kid has taken for his own, and want to monkey-wrench a bit for your own purposes? You have a reputation to uphold no matter what the cost to others? You relate better to young kids than your upstanding peers?

Twenty years ago, no one would have dignified your post with a response. "Corrupting, but Caring" are you? I would love to read a few pages of your "Rule Book".

I would like to know why your friend allows you access and any part of his family element. Enough said about this.

My advice? Go and be the best "Corrupting but Caring" person you can be to your pal's kid. Wear it like a badge of honor. Why let self-desire or common sense get in the way?

I was thinking the same thing!

Anyway, UNCLE 'Zilla I like to ride, shoot, and hunt. UNCLE 'Zilla I am over 21 and you can spend as much as you want have but I pass on the video games. I'll take a nice new Beretta 92F instead. Thanks Uncle 'Zilla.

Adjusted for accuracy.

I'm pretty sure that forty (some) years ago, when I turned 18, I'd have loved the hell out of most any of the suggestions, myself. Not ALL, but most. Suspect times haven't changed so much in that respect.

Sportster, does he have a drum set yet?
