Left the Commodore Inn at 0800 today and had a blast finding all the covered bridges plus one Fred left off the list. He must have been riding too fast and blew right by this one......

This is the Fisher Bridge in Wolcott. See if you can find anymore that Fred and I both missed because I was doing a little low altitude flying today too.

See the two bridges above and the third in a row is below. The foliage prevented me from shooting all three in the same picture.

That's all folks!

Nice Job, Bill. I did enjoy scouting that ride. In fact I think we may do a good part of it tomorrow while you Hunters are out searching for treasures. ;)

Oh, and that new bridge you found is a railroad bridge. You can tell from the narrow / tall shape. That's why it wasn't on the list. But still any covered bridge is worth a photo.

Rode Six gaps and a notch today. I found out at 110 in 3rd your churning 9500 and the rev limiter didn't even kick in. My bike is in the back lot out of gas and I need to push it up that hill to the gas station. After the hot tub.

So here is another covered bridge right here in Stowe Fred missed....

That covered walkway is just another version of what we call "Boutique Bridges".

Lots of communities (and even private parties) build them to play off of the covered bridge theme. The "Historical" bridges are the ones of import, and all of the bridges on the 17 Bridges route are historical bridges..

I can't remember the last time I saw that much dirt on one ST ride. Perhaps a Nova Scotia-type logging road could have helped the ambiance.

Good times.
