Thanks, Phil. That's what I was doing wrong. Not completely removing the pins. :huh:Rotate the fasteners 1/2 turn counter-clockwise then pull them straight up to completely remove them. Once the fasteners are completely removed from their holes, the cowls will move easily. Line up the second set of holes and replace the fasteners.
Yup...this is the idea. I've had mixed results but with the cowls in the *out* position, you legs will get less air.For warm weather use the flaps are supposed to be 'in'.
I read in a review (don't remember which one) that's what they are supposed to do in the outward position. In the 90'sF over here today and windy. Couldn't tell much difference. :glare:Wouldn't the cowls to the outboard position create negative pressure @ the trailing edge & 'siphon' heat away from the engine?
I'm wondering if the adjustable cowls are just a gimmick.
Says the guy who lives where it never gets below 70 degrees.What they do is allow warm air onto your legs in cold weather.
