Cracked Plastic

I cracked the front wheel-well plastic two weeks ago. To keep the cracks from spreading I cut plastic from a heavy-duty food container (good thing I'm not married) and glued it to both side of the cracks. I used enough cut pieces to cover the cracks and then some....used gorilla glue in the small super-glue-like container to hold it in place. This worked for me.

1) Go to Target or WalMart.

2) Proceed to the nail polish section.

3) Buy one of the kits used to add fake acrylic nails. It has liquid glue (which contains a plastic solvent) with a brush cap and a container of acrylic powder.

4) Brush both the liquid and the powder in to the crack or onto the broken pieces.

This stuff works amazingly well on this sort of plastic. I think it's ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) which would explain why the acrylic cement does the job.
