The facemask on my Nolan closes automatically when you raise the chinbar. I haven't had a problem with the helmet tugging even up to freeway speeds.

I like the ram, but I don't leave it on when I'm not using it. Comes off in 5 seconds if you want it too. Looks bad, works good.
