While at D&H yesterday, I was shocked when Renaa told me that they ordered only 30, 2007 'A' models. They've taken deposits on 20 of them, so that only leaves 10 bikes up for grabs. Even more surprising to me, was that they will not be able to get any more unless Yamaha offers a few more to them later in the year.

For them, dropping the PDP backfired on Yamaha, and will hurt their sales immensely. They said they just couldn't take the risk of ordering 60-70 units and then getting stuck with leftovers. For comparison, D&H sold 100 FJR's in '05, and 77 in '06.

So, boys and girls, if you've been sitting on the sidelines waiting, don't wait too long if you want one.

While unpopular with most, the PDP most definitely had advantages, as well as the disadvantages.

Word.

I think the PDP program offered us some exclusivity for us, And the people who really want the best, Will wait for it! :yahoo: :D

What's their status with AE's?
Sorry, I didn't think to ask, and the subject never came up. Of the 12 '07's they had, none of them were AE's. They do have an '06 AE that Jerald wanted $12,999. for...
I might have jumped for that rather than my "A" a few months back when I got mine. That's only about $300 more than I paid for my "A". But, mine was a purchase of opportunity rather than shopping and finding the best deal.
