Scheduled pick-up of my 2007 FJR with D&H tomorrow Friday February 2nd. Living in S.E. Ark, we now have a weather advisory indicating sleet, freezing rain or possibly snow. My GAWD how can this be? The bike has been in for a couple of weeks, but work commitments have kept me from making the trip. Now time is available and the weather is conspiring against me. Even though I am trailering the bike back to Arkansas I wouldn't consider the trip in icy, inclement weather. Someone, please help me by offering up some virgins, burning palmm fronds, or other weather placating offerings to assure a safe and dry passage to the mother land.

it's going to be crappy because mother nature is a motorcyclist, and she knows you're going to TRAILER your new fjr!!! come on man, it's not a harley. j/k, good luck and congrats on the new bike. oh, and i'll have my indian friend do a dance for you. :yahoo: - maybe that counts?

Good luck Roadlizard, be sure and take your own and not mine.

I am leaving Sunday and will most likely arrive in Cullman on Wednesday. :fan_1:

There is a number you should call if you trailer your bike. Don't take it personal. 1-800-chicken- sh##-mother-f#####. Its an old Harley adage.

98% of the Harley's are on the road, the other 2% made it home.

Glenn,

I called the number you so graciously provided. Some ole tongue tied ******* answered and kept saying "potato, potato, potato"!

Out here in Big Sky Country, we don't burn palm fronds. But, as my Lakota Pipe Carrier and Brother Cetan Duta (Red Hawk) has taught: We'll make up and burn a smudge of sage, bear root and sweet cedar. We'll sing the "Going Home" song to Wankan Tanka. Then we'll load a pipe with tobacco and knik-knik and have a smoke to your good fortune and safety. You'll be fine. Go get the bike.

Sounds like the party's at D&H... I'll be there Thurs. :victory:

Indian Scout, you trailering back to CA? Might be kinda weird if I pass an 07 FJR on a trailer heading west.

Loaded bike at D&H yesterday around 1:00 pm in a dreary overcast setting. Home about 8:30 pm road weary, left bike in trailer overnight. Unloaded the bike in glorious sun shine this morning to reveal it's true color. WOW! As soon as the temp reaches 40, well you know the rest.
