A VTX and a wrist watch is not this part. You've heard of it now. It is, after a few times like I said and showed. The first one replaced by the dealer was sent back to Japan burned.

When I park mine in the sun I hang my gloves over the display just as a preventive measure.

Around where I live, if I did that I'd not have any gloves when I got back to the bike. But, where I live, the sun is rarely strong enough to cook the display.

Honestly a bike that was outside of a garage in 70 degrees might get hot enough to burn your vagina. Be careful.

Let's take a lesson from the windshield that has a little curvature to it. Let's go out of the garage on that sunny 70° day and let me use a magnifying glass over that sensitive area and see if it can get hotter'n 70°.Now, see? THAT'S more like it. Nice job!!

This has happened on the FZ1 as well - just having the sun hit the windshield at the right angle, it heats the display enough to cause the same issue. Not read about it being caused from direct sunlight exposure (although that doesn't mean it can't happen).
