OK. Officially back On Topic now. Back to your regularly scheduled irregular delivery schedule.
Just talked to my dealer in CT- Columbia Motorsports and the guy I spoke with said they just heard today that the bikes are being released in CT. Did not get to speak with Scott but the guy on the phone said they expect to see bikes within 16 days. I asked to have Scott call me back with something more definite but have not received the call yet.

Sooner or later they will get here, it just seems like CT dealers are low on Yamaha's list of priorites.
My bike was supposed to be a March bike but the way it looks it will probably be a late April or May bike.
If you hear something from Scott please post it up here. Thanks!

I have a solution to Yamaha's customer service problems.

Columbia Motor Sports is my dealer as well.... Stopped in there over the weekend and Scott had no news other than "April... ". If someone told you that they expect to see bikes in the next 16 days, well... that's pretty much the END of the month of April. :angry:
I remember having a Corvette and an M3 built (not at the same time...) and we could SEE the progress of the cars from accepted for building all thru the process of shipping to the dealer. If GM and BMW can do this Yamaha can as well. But, I guess this keeping everyone in the dark is good for something.... like Christmas presents, eh. You don't know what's inside until you open it. Surprise, you bike's ready!
I've been pretty patient for the last 6 months cuz I tho't I'd have the bike in March (as promised). Now that April is nearly half over and the temperatures are moving up, I'm becoming impatient. I'm even having dreams about this bike! That's a 1st.
But, it'll get here at some point, eh. Arrrrrrrrrrrgh...!

Yamaha customer service department should be recieving a very strong letter from a rather unhappy Yamaha customer any day now, my letter went out on Friday. :fuk:
Experiences like this I never forget. I am sure I will love the bike when it gets here but because of the way Yamaha treats it's customers this will probably be my first and last Yamaha. I never had any issues like this with the Suzuki's that I have owned.
If Yamaha believes that keeping the customers in the dark is working for them, I have told them that it definitely is not working for me. :****:

Just got off the phone with Jennifer from Columbial Motorsports (I sell insurance and had to fax them an ID card for one of my customers) and she now tells me they are expecting 4 fjrs this month and 8 next month. The story keeps changing!

That's good news, BMort.... I guess.
I had to drop a vehicle off down the road from Columbia Motor Sports yesterday eve. I saw a couple Yamaha boxes that were not there in the AM. Wonder if they contained any FJRs?
BTW, if they are expecting 4 bikes this month.... one should be MINE since I was told I was "#1" on the list. We will see, eh. :clap:

It just did me a WORLD of good.
I did not have my name on a PDP bike - my local dealer kept dicking around and telling me it was here - then it wasn't - then they dont know.
Saw that El Cajon dealer had one (they don't have it yet - it is in the warehouse)
they have 2 coming and 1 is sold.
They are calling me back in an hour with a potential delivery date.

though the deal aint done - can't wait to tell the other guys to ph^¢k off. :clap:

Instead of putting Tony in charge of customer service at Yamaha many of us should consider just buying our next bike from him. There are lots of folks out there selling bikes, Tony's pricing is rock solid and he seems to be one of the only dealers out there keeping his people informed. He got the information out on the FZ1 deliveries as well.
