Tony,

Thanks for keeping up to date. I'm wondering if the asterisk means anything? ie. YAMAHA MOTOR SPORTS* ALBANY NY (518)459-7231 FJR13AVL

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks Tony.

You are providing a great service to the forum members. Unfortunately my dealer is not in 'the good list' yet. To make things worse (better?), the weather in TX this long weekend is just perfect, with the bluebonnets in bloom. Oh well, I'll just ride my Kawi and just keep waiting . . . it won't hurt . . . much.

I am not real sure what the asterick means. I have noticed it on several, but never really inquired as to what it means, but I'm not bashfull and I will ask!

You must be near the hill country. I am supposed to go there next weekend, but my plans mave have to change. Most people have no idea just how good the riding is in that part of Texas and how scenic it actually is. I will try to post the list daily as it will start changing again on Monday.

You're right, Tony is providing a fantastic and generous service.

But don't worry too much if your dealer is not on the list. I checked the list twice a day, and my dealer never showed up on it. Nonetheless, I picked up an FJR today after getting "the call" on Wednesday. Per Tony, there is some lag in the sytem, and it's possible for a bike to go from in transit to owned before being noticed by the list. In other words, you may get "the call" at any time.

I'm starting to think it means another bike stolen from Sunnyside Yamaha in Washington for delivery somewhere else in the country! What does it take to make that list? :(

I wouldn't actually call it stealing. Being an experienced '05 pilot, I just wanted to make sure yours got broke in right. Just lookin' out for ya' buddy! :D

Hey Tony,

Just a quick question (OH NO! NOT ANOTHER DELIVERY QUESTION :dribble: )

I called my dealer on the 13th and he said it showed avalable and should be here next week!!!!

The question is: My dealer isn't showing on your list. Did we skip a day? or should I not expect a bike yet?

Thanks for all the help!

The Pacific Northwest has been looking thin for 06 deliveries. Hopefully they are working out the clunk, whistle, and constant mileage update before they ship ours. Naw, I can live with it. Just get those trucks running up I-5. By the time we get ours we won't be obligated to post picures. Everyone will have seen enough.

You better watch what you wish for. If they are working out these recently discovered wrinkles, they won't be building these bikes for weeks if not months. Then if it takes two months from build to delivery. Yamaha will have the 07 models announced before you ever get an 06. I will be happy to get mine, even with a couple wrinkles. ;) ;)

Awsome guys!! Your getting those bikes for sure now. Wish I saved a few $$ and ordered one too. I instead will be waiting until who knows when on my BMW1200GT. FJR wins the first race ( to market ) by leaps and bounds over the competition. :dribble:

Rivgar,

Did you get to speak with Scott from Columbia Motorsports? Do you know how many bikes are in (or coming in)? I believe I was number 8. I'm hoping he has at least 8 bikes coming in this month.

When I picked my bike up on Friday the dealer said two different people tried to buy my bike out from under me before I got there. One was desperate offering big bucks but he told them they had to wait just like me or find another. Madmike was right, it is worth the wait! Hang in there it will happen. Painman. <>< :D

Thank you Tony!

Because of your list I found one unspoken for only an hours drive away and it'll be here the end of this month or May........compared to August delivery and 22 hours round trip with bike in tow.

I am paying a little bit more but still out the door under Yamaha's MSRP, I'll also have a bike 3 months earlier. :D

Thanks again!

Based on H. Marc's listing of waiters and their claim numbers, it seems that other than in the vaguest of terms Yamaha isn't fulfilling orders for us who wait in FIFO (first in, first out) claim order. A number of people higher on the list than I am have received their machines already. Oh, Pooh. :dribble:

The Northwet does seem to have nothing more than a trickle (pun intended) of bikes showing up here.

I just called my dealer....in NY. He said that there is nothng new on his "screen" from Yamamama but he's expecting 4 in April and mine is one of them. He says they are pretty accurate on there estimates. I almost feel like they don't want to sell me one. It's weird. Well, as they say, good things come to those who wait.......and I am definitely a "WAITER".
