I miss dirt bike riding, just looking at old Death Valley Offroad Photos makes me cry! Oh well if the 1/25/2016 give me back street riding, then I'm happy! JSNS, Bummed Out!

I booked the Longstreet online and still got the $79 rate. I will have to call them to get the gift certificate.

FYB: Chuy is also at $79 rate, but the Receptionist said we get the gift certificate at check in!

Now that I've seen all the pix guess I don't need to go and look for me self

That's like saying since you've seen ****, you don't need to experience it in person...

Thanks Tyler, for getting this Death Valley ride going. Its been long over due for me. Too bad the Stateline Saloon & Saloon shut down a couple years ago, but being built in 1905, its probably been open & closed many times in its history.

Don, you've been riding too long to give it up completely, I do hope your next surgery gets you back on a bike. Where is Richard these days, we need the Fairlaner to show up in DV.

Can someone suggest a good route from Vegas to Tehachapi?
The easy way would be I15 to hwy 58. I don't have any local knowledge for back roads. If you stay on 58 you will end up in DCarver country so be careful.

If you go to Tehachapi, you have to visit the Tehachapi Loop...
Just checked that out. Have to swing by. We will only be about 15 minutes away from it.
I think we'll be doing that either on the way in to Tehachapi on Friday or on the way out to DV on Saturday...

It's only on the way for me if I go there Friday. Do you have any suggestions on what the best route from Las Vegas would be? I dislike slab, but I really don't see a whole lot of options either looking at the map.

You can go through DV from Vegas - like this - but it will really depend on road and weather conditions at that time... too early to make the call.

I booked my room at the Longstreet and got a rate of $74.95. I asked about the Dangerous Curves gift certificate and they said they knew nothing about that, but it did give me $10 off the second night. Did I miss something??
