I, too, faced that same terrible Friday dilemma: I played hookey and went riding in the Montana Rockies. Left home at 10:30 a.m., felt like about 35. Small town on the other side of the Continental Divide over 6,700-foot Homestake Pass, bank sign said 55. It was optimistic. In another small town at about 2:30, a bank sign said 59 degrees - also optimistic but certainly near mid fifties. I saw one other bike out on the highway. Saturday, 5 inches of new snow, Sunday two more. Winter is ba-a-a-ck!
