I have a 06 fjr and i was having a REAL tough time appling power through in ,, i just couldnt do it at ALL ,, it was bad, if i tried it would translate to poping the throttle open,, scarey,,

i found the throttle spring procedure here on the board,, and peformed it,, Very nice,, i would say 70% of the issue is gone,,

I also tigtend up the throttle play with the cable adjuster on the cable itself,,,

BUT i still have a hell of a time pouring on throttle mid turn and exiting turn as the throttle is SO sensative i have to jjjuuusssstt crack the throttle a slight pinch,,,

ive been riding my entire life,, im 47,, its not me:)

i also have a 1994 vfr,, no issue

busa, no issue,,

v-max - no issue..

i have 6k on her,,

other than this she is silky smooth,, and i have to stress even here its not bad,,

was wondering if anyone has experienced this one ???????

What Kaitsdad said!!! :clapping:

G2 was the fix for me too. About $45 and 15 minutes.

New set of grips made the process easier instead of trying to save the old ones.

If you go with the G2, make sure you re-adjust the throttle cables.
If you do not adjust them properly (specifically if the cables are too tight), G2 with the center spring released can cause the throttle be a little sticky on the return.
Also make sure when you remove the plastic housing in order to remove the throttle tube make sure when you re- assemble it you have the little plastic tit engaging the indentation in the handle bar . If you don't the throttle cable will probably stick a little when you close throttle.

Don't ask me how I know.
