Does Hi-Viz gear really make you more visible to other motorists?

(Guess that was back when I was using webshots, who have now deleted my old free account. Decided to go back and put back in most of the pictures. Which reminded me what a great trip that was. Need to go back and do that one again.)

I still wear that jacket although it has faded a bit. Added a hiviz helmet to the mix last year.
