Certainly everyone is entitled to there own opinion and mine (I'm entitled to it LOL) is, if you dress and look like a thug you get treated like a thug, with all the disrespect that thugs deserve. That shouldn't be hard to understand should it?

Naw I'll just fall down on the ******* and crush him. I get real sick of the holier than thou crap from some of these people. Every thing one type of rider does is wrong meanwhile breaking rules in their own little ways. I get sick of it from some of the people on the hardly side too. The club I ride with has only a 500 cc plus rule for bikes.

Sheesh! Some of you remind me of little boys on the play ground at grammar school. Or the dinner table with the "lost boys" in the movie Hook. Has this thread now degenerated to who can type the latest insult?
We're not all Harley haters. Some of my riding buddies choose to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles but they don't feel the need to express the attitude. Like me, they just want to ride and enjoy the day and their friends regardless of what style or brand machines everyone is riding. One is selling his Dyna because he is tired of being lumped in with the "bar-hoppers" and "leather peacocks" (his term, not mine) that is the mode some HD owners, including some of his co-workers, gravitate toward. Another has sold his Ultra Classic and now rides a C-10 (ZG-1000, old gen Connie) for commuting and an ST1100 for he and his wife to enjoy when traveling.
You guys should let some of this banter rest for a few days. You might find it really isn't worth the energy. Every motorcyclist chooses which identity he wants to be known by. That's it! Using our imagination or personal opinion to decide their motivation or to subsequently defend their choice and the responses to that choice are certainly beyond the scope of this website and above the understanding/knowledge base of most members.
Since this appears to have become an emotionally charged area, perhaps its time for the admins to close the thread.

Guideline #5 has been sufficiently broken. Some folks will take a time-out.
And folks that watched the thing devolve or maybe chimed in.....this is the kind of thread that The Management really gets tired of. Threads that aren't really FJR related...or marginally related....and devolve into divisive crap. It wouldn't be so much of an issue on the off-topic part, but I've been around long enough to know which threads can go that way and this seemed one from the beginning.
We don't want to make this an FJR only board and have to exclude things, but having to come babysit threads like this sure make me think about it.
So, move along....go make or can grape jelly go ride your FJR before it gets too cold...think about the FJR contemplatively....or maybe post something about the FJR in another thread (see there's a theme I'm developing here..FJR.FJR.FJR.FJR).......since....you know......this is a......
