Bugnatr,

Curious as to what brand of riding gear you were wearing as it sounds like it did it's job well.
I have pictures of all the gear (for the ins co)but my photobucket isn't happy. Mr "Fix your computer" who's also a BMW bud is coming over tonight.

Here's a run down of what I crash tested-passed in my book!

Motoport/Cycleport Riva Kevlar Jacket zipped to Ultra Kevlar II pants -cop pants on there site. I slid feet first the whole way and hate to think what would have happened if I would have been wearing a coat that didn't zip to pants-I know it would have been up to my neck.

Schubreth C2 flip up. I gotta say this helmet was great!

Racer High End Gloves.

BMW allround boot. Damn I liked those boots for being so water proof.

I have what looks like road rash on the left shoulder and right calf but actually I think they are more like burns from the heat while sliding. Hope to post pics soon.

Do me a favor and wear shorts Doug. I don't wanna see that Lilly white *** .....again :p

Bust, you sure as Hell weren't complaining last Saturday night! jes' sayin' and nuff' said!
No ****! Remember Barry at dinner: "Oh Doug. Hold me like that again. You remind me so much of Andy. Can I lick the bar-b-que sauce off your fingers?"

Freaks I tell ya!!

YOWZAH! Never seen a stator THROUGH the stator cover before. Wow!!

Glad you're here to tell the tale.

Whilst riding around at EOM last weekend, we came around a corner and 2 young deer were chowing on some grass just off the road. Just about skeered the **** outta me.

I hate deer. Except for dinner.

Glad to read that you came through relatively well. Too bad about your poor old hoss though. I'll hoist one in her honor.

And, I know exactly what you mean about the sense of giddy elation you get after coming through a deer strike and are able to walk (or in my case ride) away. When I hit mine two years ago, I somehow managed not to go down, but while I was running around picking up all the scattered body work off the roadway the adrenaline high was pretty awesome. ;)

Dougie,

Glad you and puppychow survived your potentially fatal incidents.

Get better soon.

No Wings for you my friend...you aren't old enough. :)

Well I come back from EOM only to find both you and Puppychow have been huntin' out of season. Knock it off!

Open up a no limit deer season year round. Feed families. Save lives.

Good your gear worked for you (I love my Motoport!) and that you came out with only a story.

Dougie,

No Wings for you my friend...you aren't old enough. :)
Yeah Dougie, let's get one each of these instead eh!

Will you guys STOP quoting that image. I'm broke and have low willpower. If I buy that, my wife will kick me out and it doesn't look too comfortable to sleep on!

Highway pegs mounted where the frame sliders are bolted on and a big pillow, yeah you could make it work!

Just trying to help

Please. That bike isn't comfortable to ride on (isn't supposed to be) so it sure won't be comfortable to sleep on.

Doug,

It was good to meet you at Ray's RTE. Glad that your in one piece. Heal up and see you at the next Rueben Run.
