Crap... and people complain that I have to much time on my hands!
I second that! Some of these stories may have helped me because a few of them are things I haven't thought to be careful of. Hearing all the weird ways bikes fall has started me creating a mental checklist of places it's okay to park the bike. Latest add-on...avoid Dog shit...wait...Cheech and Chong taught me that...good thing we didn't step in it!!!Well, I haven't dropped this bike yet, and I credit you guys for that.
If I didn't read a sad story like this seemingly every coupla weeks somewhere on these boards, I probably wouldn't be so darn careful!

Wow...that gravel on the ground that your foot went into is expensive. Sorry to hear about how expensive that is...ouch!oh yea forgot to type in a total damage with tax and 150 bucks for the dealer to check the bike out $2600.00 bucks less my $500.00 deductible. wait the adjuster and the insurance copany told me that i can go ANYWHERE to get the bike repaired . so i see it this way 2600 less 500 = 2100 bucks call a dealer in nort dakota and can get the parts for $900.00 . now i need to see what price the dealer can do the labor for being he up the prices for the parts and the labor so i would not have to shell out the $500 deductible. And remember i was going ZERO miles an hour for this much damage . will post when i see the CHECK .
