Oh damn Marcus...I am so sorry. I know we all enjoyed Duke's company, but I saw how much you loved him. You did a great thing and gave that dog a great life. His love of riding and meeting people was obvious, and his care was always your first priority.

I know the times we ate together, you always said you didn't want the group to have to pick places that would accommodate Duke, but it was always our honor. It was like our social status rose because we were the ones hanging out with the star of the show.

I feel very lucky to have ridden with you and him, and want you to know we are thinking if you. He had a better life than a lot of people, only because you gave so much to make it that way.

Next time I see you, I will buy all the beer.

I'm very sorry my friend. I truly wish I could make it better!

Heartfelt condolences to you Mark from The Stanley Boys. You two were a Great Team! Godspeed Duke, RIP and we'll ride FJR's with you again in Heaven! It was no easy task telling my Son Seth of Duke's passing, he loved riding the Southwest with sweet Duke alongside of us!

I'm just heartsick, couldn't sleep without my little buddy in his basket by my bed. One of the last things I told him is you'll now ride the bike in heaven, he then still wagged his tail even in his horrible condition

Marcus, Duke will be missed by all here and around the world. Saying goodbye to your best friend is never easy, and is the price we pay for the love and devotion they pay us. I'm reminded of the thought, "give me the strength to be the person my dog thinks I am" and you sir, embody that more than anyone I've met.

So sorry to hear about little Duke. I know your heart is hurting & broken right now.
It's never easy to lose a part of your family that gave you such unconditional love like he did.
My heart hurts for your loss Markus. You have such good memories with him and all you did together.
God Bless

I thought I had sent my condolences to you yesterday Mark, but I am sure another post won't hurt. I am so glad I got to meet your little buddy several times. He seemed to love every person he met and I am sure he did. May we all take a lesson from the little guy in our own dealings with other people.

So sorry to hear this. But then, how lucky were you to have such a friend.

I am so glad I got to ride along once in Big Bear. Our family has sure enjoyed all the travel photo's of the two of you!

His Ride Reports will sure be missed! God Bless you for giving him such a good life!

I am sorry for your loss. I am glad I got to meet you and Duke last year in Salida colorado. Duke looked like he had so much fun traveling with you.

i am truly sad to hears this.duke was a great riding partner, see him on the other side of the rainbow bridge.rest in peace puppy.we will see you someday.

You know what?

We ALL should have as good of life as ol' Duke.

His original human loved him.

The next human loved him, and showed him the world from a motobike view!

M, I'd love to know how Duke came to love the motobike?

Did he simply go happy when you started the bike, or when you moved the bike from the garage or??

I know you are grieving, my friend,

...but what a wonderful story this is, and YOU, not us, LIVED it, and FULLY, with Sir Duke!

Duke was a very lucky dog to be treated as well as he was by you. And you were luckier to be treated as well as you were by him. I am proud to say we stayed at the same hotel in Lapine. Godspeed Duke.
