Today was the day! :clapping:
Our mini DVD with the AZ Beemer guys.
Honestly I have been looking forward to this day for a few weeks now. Many thanks do Don aka. beemerdons for posting about this ride and letting us Feejer riders tag along.
There were a total of 5 BMW’s and 3 FJR’s… We may have been outnumbered but we were faster!.... More on that later…
The day started off cold and foggy in Vegas. Foggy?!!! In Vegas?!! Unusual but true. Lee, Steve and I met bright and early and were on our way by 7am….
We met up with the BMW guys just before 8am at the Pahurmp Nugget.
Next stop was Furnace Creek for a late breakfast.
Guess who we ran into down there?.... Here is a hint…. He makes highway pegs for FJR’s…(among others)
After gassing up we had to run over to the information station to pick up our passes for the day.
Next stop was just past the ranger station about 3 miles before Scotty’s Castle. We had just finished a “spirited” ride. 2 FJR’s and 2 Beemers…
Looking over the valley…
We took a quick detour to UBEHEBE CRATER and got very windblown.
Looked like a nasty storm but it stayed away from us…
Next stop was Scotty’s Castle. If you have never take the tour it’s kind of interesting. I also took a lot of photos inside. Link to the pictures is at the bottom.
Scotty’s Parking lot…
After Scotty’s Castle we headed on out to Beatty NV for gas. On the way I got a chance to explore top speed on the FJR. Let’s just say I was pretty damn close!!!
Post gas we stopped in this little ghost town.
Former bank.
After that we headed back to 95 toward Vegas. The BMW guys took a right on 160 back to Pahrump and their hotel and us FJR guys headed back home.
After all was said and done I showed 375 miles covered on my GPS.
Thanks again Don for coordinating this and it was great to meet all the AZ Beemer guys. We will definitely do it again next year. If not sooner!!

The only spot we missed was Badwater but Lee, Steve and I may go next Saturday. (Cause Sunday is the big game you know)
If anyone wants to go let me know!!!
Then I will have anoter report!! Later!
