Here is the best information that you will get. Take what you have and throw it away.
Now go and purchase what is made for what you are trying to do. Go to the HYPER LITES web sight and look at everything they have. They have what you want to do

When you get done messing around with your truck stuff you will have spent twice the money and nothing is standard and when it brakes down on the road it can get you pissed off and all you want to do is sell the bike because of those lites.

when you get done it will be a cluster f%%%%k
Re-read post 14 bud :p I've opted for the right modulator unit. There's nothing Hyperlites has that I'm interested in paying for. Mine will work exactly as I want it to for alot less than any of there stuff. That and my gear is probably made better anyway :p

Well silent now you can run with the big boys all you got to do is find the other 16 wheels that are missing :yahoo: along with the smoke stack and the ever luving air horn :yahoo:

Only kidding they should look great when you are done ( I hope ) did you look at signal dynamics lites ?

I will be able to check them out heading avila beech . That is if J B. is not following you to close

I was thinking that if I put in a 90 down where the muffler meets the header, I could turn the exhaust upwards and have duel semi exhausts, and I think I can stuff a set of chrome airhorns right under the chin

I've looked at alot of aux LED lights over the past several months, and haven't seen anything that I like for a fair price. These are fully sealed and are bright. There not huge, only 2" across.

The size of the resistor will have to get bigger as its value gets lower, because it will need to dump more energy. Resistors usually come in 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, and 1W, then go to load resistors (ceramic block) of various sizes. Your local radio crap probably has some in stock.
Pick the applicable resistor, preferably the smallest (highest value, that is) that will get the job done:

Resistance Current Power

(ohms) (amps) (watts)

1000 0.014 0.196

500 0.028 0.392

250 0.056 0.784

200 0.070 0.980

150 0.093 1.307

100 0.140 1.960

75 0.187 2.613

50 0.280 3.920

25 0.560 7.840

12 1.167 16.333
