Hello guys, has anyone done any internal performance mods as in bigger pistons, higher compression, with exhaust and intake mods and if so, where did they

locate pistons and how much, what other mods along with bigger pistons? Just dreaming, just think, 1350cc, 12:1 compression, larger injectors, header pipe and muffler, modified intake with k&n and pcIII, 20-25 hp increase? any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks ahead of time

I think you'd be better off buying a Hayabusa. Seriously, I don't think there's much in the way of aftermarket go-fast stuff for the FJR. But you could get some luggage and risers and make a busa semi comfortable.

I believe the cylinders are ceramic lined so no punching them out.

I keep waiting for someone with bottomless pockets to slap a turbo on one.

I also have looked for those items, to no avail. Best option for a little more umpf is letting her breathe and add some fuel with a techlusion. Look for full air box mod from wicked webby, he has done dyno tests and all for around 10 hp I think. Only option now left on a header is Dale Walker holeshot as muzzy no longer make theirs (unless we get a group buy of 20 or more). I test rode a zx-14 that is as fast as the Hayabusa and suppose to be more comfortable, could not pull the trigger. What I had found is the FJR1300 had spoiled me, lot's more comfort. When I come into a boat load of useless cash, I am sure I will be talking to the turbo busa installers on how to modify for the FJR. Cant be that hard. If you turn up anything, please share. This is a kick ass forum because of sharing and great members. Oh, the bike rocks too!

yeah, if only the FJR had a bit more passing power! Oh, it's not Friday yet? ;)

Personally, I've never had any problems with the stock power output on the FJR...it's got PLENTY enough to get me into a world of trouble and/or hurt.
