...I might remind you all that last Sunday I was out riding all afternoon in vented pants. :p Just a few more weeks and this should all be over.
Keep that up, I might just move down there... :D

Oh yeah, I am. But not soon enough.
Come on down Wheatie! There's room for one more Yankee. I had all the Michigan winters I could stand, been here nine years now.

OK, back OT of EOM.

Who can tell me where the road sign pictured in my Avatar is located?

(You'll very likely ride past it at some point during an EOM ride.)

Not exactly sure...but I'm pretty sure I've ridden by it
There are several very similar in the area, but each one is unique in their text.

Some examples:

Then there's the Indian Larry tribute;

The Haywood County part is correct, but 15 mph curves on I-40?

Uhhh... NO!!!... You must now graduate "conditioning" before becoming a resident of the South. We teach you basic chemistry like dissolving sugar in hot water instead of cold, how to properly address a woman as Ma'am, and how to differentiate between a pecan and a pee-can, despite both being pronounced the same.

Pee-can? aint that what ya keep behind the seat in yer pickup truck?

Could it be either NC276 or NC215?

Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!

It's at the intersection of 276 and 215, just as you head south at the start of 215, next to Jukebox Junction.

I see I'm to late, but I'm pretty sure that's the pic I took!

And this is why it's such a great area, my current desktop pic at work (hey, I need something to get me through these -30C days...)

Oh, and I have huge news regarding the banquet festivities. Because of my twisted sense of humor, I'll give everyone this clue - It has something to do with an organization that is located very close to EOM HQ...

chew on that for a while - I'll feed the fire after I get my accounting homework done...

Wayne.
It's gonna be at the Ohlins USA HQ?

Joe,

You're on the right track - but no, the banquet will be held at the Quality Inn. You'll notice the sponsors page has been updated at www.FJREOM.com.

There will be something happening at the Ohlins HQ.

Any other guesses?

Still, Ohlins USA HQ is only 10 minutes from the Quality Inn. Hmmmm. Might be time for an upgrade between rides.

Good day folks,

I am on my 2nd FJR (had a 2005, then a couple other tweener bikes, now am back to my roots with a 2011 FJR). I fully plan to join you out in Hendersonville. I am coming from the Virginia Beach area, and look forward to more details coming here and on the FJR EOM website....

my hotel room is reserved :)
