Hah!

I knew I had some treasure maps from 08.

Dang! Are we there yet?

I still have all the GPS files from EOM 08. Sometimes being an electronic pack rat pays dividends.

As for the ST guys, I'm not all that worried about it. I mean, after all, we are all ST guys too.

I'm sure it will just mean making a few new friends and get to hear a few new lies stories.

Hmmm... I wonder what they will be having for dinner Saturday night. Might want to crash that party!

I wonder if they carry coolers. We won't all be able to congregate around the one TopSpeed is bringing.

At least he won't be icing down his nut sack at this event. That effectively kept me out of his cooler at Huntsville.

(well, that and the fact that he stocks it with Butt Light)

Two good points. I guess I'll make room for my own cooler.

That is doable, great suggestion.

The best solution would be to have the ID on both sides, but I don't know if that is reasonable for the printer. A double ID card that could be folded in half might work.
FWIW, I do like the IDs because, as I said in an earlier post, I have a hard time remembering names even for people I have met several times.
I also have all of the WV EOM routes, from both years. There will be updated GPS files posted before the rally.

Naw, I'm usually just smilin' on the inside, Iris.

That photo was taken just after returning from our Saturday group ride at EOM '07, as I recall. It was Brody in the lead, MartyA and wife Sally (2-up), Art (roadrunner), Cliff (CCook82) and me. Coincidentally, it was also my birthday. One of the most fun ones ever.

WRT: MSTA

This past Aug I was with the ST.n group in Marietta at the same time the MSTA was there for the Mail Pouch Fly-By.

Good bunch of guys. However, they are AMA sanctioned and, as such, have some pretty strict rules about riding with them (insurance/liability). If your not a member, forget it. They did make a bit of an effort passing out flyers and such during our evening soiree's. No harm, no foul.

If I recall, about 50 or so came out for the Fly-By. So I'm thinking something similar, or larger for their Sept. event. I'd book early.

Of late It's been Yuengling for my multiple pallet washings (that's 8 beers and up), and then Smithwicks for my heavier but much fewer pallet passages. Come 90F weather?, it may will have to go back to BL's as I can easily down 20 of those suckers, and yes, just like water!

....So yeah, if it's hott, don't come-a-knocking! (unless you want H2O!)

Iris- glad to have you and Jim on board :)

See my post #42, I am wondering if it is more than just the MSTA folks. This is looking like a lot of fun. I just may extend this a couple of days more since I still have some time to burn up. I may need to get my liver in shape to keep up also.

Looks like I'll be extending this trip a few more days too. I've also decided to get there early to avoid the rush our at the check in counter. :)

FYI - I have reached out to the MSTA organizer - Very nice fella and I look forward to meeting him in person. We're going to keep in touch between now and the rally(s) and neither one of can come up with any valid concerns with being at the same venue at the same time. They are a more diverse group, brand wise, but all share the same passion as us - two wheels...

This is true and they tend to be a bit older, dare I say they average retirement age, at least the ones I have met.

I'm not sure how that differs with this group. ;)
