Always, Always, Always go slow on new tires. You would be surprised how many folks dump thier brand new bike after leaving the dealers. You got's to break em in first. Tough lesson for sure.

Glad your o.k. though, Now be safe out there,

Dave

I downloaded the routes and converted to TomTom Itineraries! I'm finally in prep mode for EOM after moving last weekend. Unfortunately, I had to work tonight and will also work tomorrow night, so packing will be last minute, but I've been there/done this kind of event enough that it only takes me a few minutes to get all ready. I'll check air pressure tomorrow and pack when I get home at night by 10pm then up at 7am Thursday to leave by 8am!

I'm so ready for some great riding and tall stories...

I don't think I missed reading all the posts here so far, so best wishes to you all and be as safe as you can. The timing for this rally makes it very difficult for us to get away - Sally has the summer off but once school starts it is near impossible to get a day off. We did make one of the Lewisburg rallies a couple years ago, had a blast! Should be retired or close to it next year so we should be able to join you folks then.

Have a great weekend all! Post photos!

I will be leaving Akron Thursday morning at around 8 am if anyone is interested in meeting up. I will be down lewisburg way around 1 pm. So I am thinking about riding over to paint bank for lunch at swinging bridge. Food is great. Any takers?
You'll be about an hour and a half behind me...but I won't be getting to Lewisburg till around 6ish.
Are you not very good with directions? It's just down 77 to 64 to 60! Lol
I looked at a map, and saw that there are roads that go from Brunswick to Sutton, and then from Rock Cave to Lewisburg...imagine that. I will be using 77, to cross the river. Why rush, when there are so many great roads, on the way down?
Joe, what is your ETA for Rock Cave? I will be following 20 through there, not in a rush and if I meet you there, I could be part of a Tyler RR. I haven't done that in a few years.

Where is everyone?

Final day of captivity here at work. Clock seems to be running backwards already.

See all of you tomorrow! Safe travels everybody!

Packing begins slowly tonight. KSU at around 8am Thursday for a ride up to VA to join the rest of the FYB crew,

I just want to be clear on something... I am not a part of a FYB crew even though I'm planning to meet you guys in Gum Spring on Thursday morning.
FYB can mean many things.......Forever Yours Bob. Forget You Bob......This could take on a whole new direction. Flowered Yamika Bob
You can just knock that **** off right now! Read post #1272. Thanks Joe!

No...it only has one meaning. And we all know what that is.
And if anyone doesn't know, I'll be happy to fill them in just like I did last year.

It won't be any surprise, though!

Miss Donna and Papa Chuy spent last night in Van Buren, Arkansas. We had a real nice BBQ ribs dinner with rushes ex-wife's kid sister Tina, a great Southern Gal. Russ is right though, she does smell like gasoline! JSNS, DIXIE!

El Toro Jose, we will spend tonight in Bristol, Tennessee. Spend some time exploring Bluefield, West Virginia on Thursday morning; Donna spent the first five years of her life in Bluefield and wanted to see how many Meadows (her maiden name) are still in the area. We will arrive at the Hotel in time to help with chores!

Sorry to hear you and Sally aren't making it Marty. Were in the same boat. Line is administrative at the school board and this time of year is near impossible to book time off. Until last week, she wasn't even sure she could make because of an impending teacher strike. They settled, so she's back on the docket to go.

She's expecting a promotion over the winter and if she gets it, will absolutely not be able to go going forward. So here she is, she's fighting off a cold, their calling for rain all weekend, but she still wants to go if only just to see everybody.

She's good like that :D

Cool. You do know that spklbk's (Jim), co-organizer of the event) last name is Meadows. Do you think....
