Bob, if there's ever a time you need to get yer ya-yas out, Spanky can always ride with me for a spell... I don't hit the twisties with the same fervor that you do.
same here...

I've never been to any of these rallies but sounds like a great time and this area looks like it has some great mountain roads. I'm guessing this is open to anyone? I could really handle cranking out some miles with a bunch of other Feejer pilots.

Call and reserve a room. You'll have a blast and meet some awesome people. It's always fun. :)

Of course its open to anyone but it is customary for first time rally goers to buy lots of beer. That way you have a better chance of us talking to you.

And, the beer must be ice cold and lined up in multiple coolers in front of the hotel during the first nights social hour(s). :)

It's a wonder there are even any new folks showing up at these!!

Absolutely open to everyone - even "cough, cough" if not on an FJR... In my opinion, there is no better place to see what other's have done farkle-wise to make their bike work for them. Seats, handlebar risers, windshields, tires, etc.

hmmm, coolers huh? I think I could handle the buying part. Biking it down there though maybe not "somebody drive me to the store". I do have a Givi 52 or something like that haha

Feejer Monkey, this is us being wise ***** with a new guy. Come join us. I guarantee you will feel right at home before you finish your first beer. Or, maybe the second. You will make this rally a must do item in your annual schedule. It's like visiting family after a while. Even the ones that suck down a wee bit too much moonshine. :D
In his defense, the said moonshine was quite tasty. Had a taste myself. :)

NO! Not you, Joe. It was one of the Boys in the Tennessee contingent. How could you ever think I was talking about you? That's absurd. You're always a pillar of the community at these rally's. :)

Hmmm, what does that say about the community? :) :) :)

FeejerMonkey, I agree with what Vic said. Last year's was my first, and really looking forward to this year's.

All wonderful people, with great riding. The 'parking lot social' is fun too, especially if Joe is there. :drinks:

I'll just say "ditto" to all of the above commentary. Last year was also the first for my wife and I to attend. She was apprehensive at first because when we initially started planning the trip she was still riding a Harley and felt she would be out of place. By the time the trip came around the Harley was gone and she'd replaced it with a BMW. In the days leading up to the trip another forum member posted looking for someone to ride along with on their way down from even further north. Messages were exchanged then cell numbers and my wife and I met up with a great couple from Massachusetts, Dave and Anne Wynn, for the remainder of the ride to Lewisburg, WV.

I can tell you without hesitation that everyone we met was just as awesome in person as they are on here. Even though our weather could have been a whole lot better before we even left for home my wife had already begun telling folks we had just met that we'd be seeing them again next year! I can't wait to once more raise a glass with any and all of these fine people that make this place feel like a home.

Make your reservations. They should be the only ones you have about this event.

Yeah Feejer Monkey, come on down...You'll ride some great roads, meet some great folks, and have an overall great time. And looking at where you'll be coming from, I'd say you could even find a great route getting there.

And if you run into this guy...whatever you do...don't give him anymore to drink

Laughing tears again! OMG that's hilarious!

Poor Donna was so confused!
