Ok so here's some pics. 2009 EOM was a success! Thanks to the planners and organizers. Thanks to my riding partner Steve(Bungie).
Steve and I met up at Hwy 9 and 400. at about 10am and then it was off to Niagara Falls to the border. As we entered the United States I was asked some unusual questions. "Country of origin, where ya going, had any medical procedures?" Medical procedures???? WTF, where's he going with this line of questions? As 5 guards are walking towards me. Oh crap! The Guard asks if I'd had a Stress test recently (yes). Oh I get it now, I'm Radioactive! Who knew they checked for that. So it's the "follow me" routine. They run the bike through a scanner and check me with a Geiger counter. I'm low but they just want to make sure. 5 minutes later I'm out on Hwy 190 south.
As we head south Steve has decided we should go to the ZIPPO Museum. This could be cool.
You Americans kill me. This flag is made out of ZIPPO's.
Racks and racks of lighters to choose from.
So I don't know why I haven't taken any more shots until arrivng at EOM but I just want to show that a dirty bike at EOM is still better than a clean one sitting at home.
Friday, Steve and I head out for the Dragon. We take the long way around. This is on Rte 70 somewhere. What an awesome twist.
This is the Douglas Dam at the Tennessee Valley Watershed.
Moving along to the Foothills Parkway
Trying to get a self portrait and the timer beat me to it!
At Deals Gap we are greeted by RAIN!! Our ride through the Dragon was at a comfortable pace. Lots of people milling about at the store.
