My most memorable wave, in 1979, I was northbound Hwy 101 in Ukiah Calif, headed from the Geysers to home in Eureka on my new XS 750 triple, doing about 58 mph, speed limit then was 55 mph, I'm a chickenshit about getting a speeding ticket. I was passed by two patched pirates on chopped Harleys doing about 70 mph, As they passed, they both flipped me the dirty bird. Knowing their combined IQ was about that of a turnip, and being of superior intelligence, I ignored the gesture. About 15 miles later, on a hill just north of Willits, I passed them back, they were broke down along side the road, already had the seat off one of the bike and **** strewn about. I beeped with my chintzy japcrap horn and returned the bird, Giggling all the way home to Eureka, not worried about them catching up, as the freeway had ended and the twisties were for the next 118 miles. It still makes me smile.
