I should not have to type this, but... Did the search. Didn't find what I was looking for(exactly).

Most of the time I ride with all three bags in place (Yami sides and top). Many comment about how NOT noticeable my turn signals are on the 05. I've seen the Kisan License Plate LED thingy. Thinking about that.

Am also wondering if anyone has mounted auxillary LED lights of some kind (in place of the side reflectors etc.) that have vastly improved the turn signal visibility?

I already have hyperlites for the brake. Looking for either a bulb change or a second turn signal LED light for the rear signal. Don't want LEDs on my mirrors. Can't see in the dark already, don't want something else shining in my face at night.

P.S. No '06 suggestions please. Not the same, just not the same.

Ping jdogsocal. He has that licence plate frame thingymaboober ...you can see a mile away... see what he thinks of it.

What about some LED sportbike add-ons from your local squid shop? Maybe place them where the cheesy reflectors are.

That's exactly what I was thinking about, but the centerline for the reflectors (mount) is too far forward (too close to the side bags). There just is not enough clearance to get a light in there without risking definite contact.

I might have to consider making a new bracket that doubles over the license plate bracket. The HyperLites already have one, so I would need to incorporate the HyperLites and two signal LED lights on the new bracket. It would be a bit of work.

Just feeling lazy and would prefer to write a check for the fix rather than fabricate something. It was 74F here today and I played hookie from work after lunch and went riding.

Hyperlites offers a combo turn signal/brake version. Am I missing something?
Hyperlites
I get mixed feedback on my Hyperlites. I have the brake flashing only version. They are bright, but people frequently comment that the color is not that visible during the daytime.

Maybe I should get someone else to ride my bike so that I can get a better look and make a more informed decision?

My buddy has hyperlights on his K-RS. I'm not impressed during the day but they are better than nothing.

Remember that the LEDs require some aim. There are some newer, less directional LEDs coming out on the market, (LEO bikes are getting them in some areas), but the Hyperlights need to be aimed where you want the maximum effect, especially during the day. I'd be aiming at a car windshield height, not a bike rider's height. ;)

I'm not sure if anyone is marketing the new type for our application yet.

I should add that I've been pretty impressed with the dual mode type of Hyperlites on the back of a fellow FJR's fuel cell. Day and night offer very much improved visibility. Helps more if they aren't so close to the stockers, IMHO.
