Does anyone have a source for the Yamaha factory wire sheathing (loom?) they use on these bikes? e.g. the vinyl-like flexible tubing that covers the tail light wires, ignition switch wires, etc.? I know about split-loom, spiral wrap, expandable mesh wrap, but those are not what I'm looking for.

I did a google search for different combinations of wire-loom-sheathing, but didn't find what I was looking for.

Pep Boys, NAPA, or even AceHardware comes to mind. Why I bet even Wallyworld carries it.Up here in Canada we have a store called CanadianTire (more like ChinaTire but that's another rant) Any good automotive store would carry loom. Good luck.

Something like this?

It's a little pricy buying by the foot, but if you only need a few feet it's a good place to get it.

Hope it helps.

Hi all,

Seen that you got your answer for the wiring. Just wanted to throw in a couple of cents. Added LED lighting around the marker plate and built the harness using heat shrink tubing. After I cut all the wiring to length I simply ran the bundle thru heat shrink, heated it, made for a solid piece AND a rather robust antiscuff jacket.

Cheers

Hank :D
