Have a friend that is wanting to sell his '00 Bandit 600. It has less then 300 miles has never been wreck but did fall over in the mud/dirt. Minor scratch(es) to left side of fairing.

Question. What would you sell the bike for? What would you pay for the bike?

Here is my process for determining bike value.
1) Go here and check out the blue book

Blue Book Value

2) Go here and see what they are selling for:

Cycletrader

3) Go here and compare:

the borg

4) I would take off 20% min for the roll in the mud.

Just me
The borg. Thats pretty accurate actually, as well as amusing....

OrangevaleFJR,

I guess that the low miles and the scratch(es) would cancel each other out. The bike fell over when it started to rain...I know it was not to bright of him to park in the dirt in the first place.. :headbonk: ..and it hit a rock or something and not rolled.

I've check the KBB for Trade-in (2,210.00) and Retail values(3,250.00). I figured a fair price would be about the middle of the two. The borg ;) was of no use this time. I'll have to tell him about the cycle trader...I forgot about that one.

Bottom line is that he wants $3,000. Would you pay that much? or hold out for something closer to trade-in value? I was going to tell him about $2,700 to $2,800 is about what he can expect to get. Do you agree?

PS

If anyone is interested in the bike, I'll pass your name along to him. Bike is in south Texas.
