I too converted from a big cruiser. My last bike was a VTX 1800 that my wife and I loved, but I rode it way too fast. I was always dragging the boards and bringing that beast to a stop raised my hairs more than once. About 5 minutes after getting home from last years Laughlin River run, my best friend showed up with a brand new Triumph Sprint ST 1050. I took it for a ride and after that, the search was on for a comfortable ST. I looked everywhere and at everything and the FJR just stood out. This bike has me hooked. Every day the sun is out I wanna bail outta work. My wife says she liked the VTX better, but she never fell asleep on that bike at 130mph.

Am I sick? I've ridden 9 of the last 10 days, I only work enough to ride! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: My wife is pissed!

Nope you are right on schedule. Love riding my FJR. No wife to get pissed at me so, I get to ride more.

Get her a back rest and take her with you.

I have had my FJR for about 3 months and only have put about 1200 miles on it. I find myself riding it way more than my Harley Road Glide. I bought this bike because a I had a Kawasaki Nomad I couldn't get anyone to buy and a friend told me about an almost new 05' FJR at the local dealer. I went and looked at it and made a trade. At first I thought it was pretty cool but never pictured myself riding it more than my HD. Now I can't get enough of it. The only thing that scares me about it is I ride it too fast. I rarely ride my Harley over 70. I find myself riding my Yamaha over 80+ way too often. It feels much safer at speed than the Harley. The bike is exhilarating. I can't wait to take it on a road trip. I can't imagine ever getting rid of my Harley especially since my wife enjoys riding on it so much but you never know. T.

Don't resist the force Luke....
