Jim and Lorie,

Sorry for your son's hardship. You know that I'm keeping him in my thoughts. Hoping for a quick, safe, and uneventful treatment and recovery.

Our 26 year old son Jim was diagnosed with cancer a couple of weeks ago. He has a tumor in the base of his skull (Ewings). The Doc says it's "very curable," but the treatment isn't a cake walk. We would appreciate your prayers for Jim, he can use all he can get. Thanks,

Jim and Lorie
Jim,

Prayers being sent for you, Lorie, and your son Jim. I've got sons a few years younger and know how precious they are.

I sincerely hope the best for your family. Tell him we are all rooting for him and are in his corner.

Godspeed to your son...

Funny how your definition of "good" news is confined in a much smaller box than before. Jim underwent various scans and MRIs to see if the cancer went anywhere else other than the tumor in the base of skull. All they found was two spots on one lung - they had to do a biopsy and we just learned that these are not cancer. So, looks like it's local in his brain bucket which greatly increases his chances for a cure. All considered this is great news! Thanks for your prayer and support - does make a difference.

Prayer for the doctors sent...so they will ascertain correctly the appropriate way to treat your son.

We're pulling for you guys! :clapping:

Jim,

Best wishes to your son Jim for a successful treatment with minimal complications.

You folks might want to take a peek at what's happening over in the Tour de' France this year. There's this cancer survivor guy named Armstrong that is on the (currently) winning team, who is himself in 4th place overall. This time he is playing more of a team support role, which is a lot different than all of his prior race victories (all post CA as well).

Hopefully that's inspirational toward a complete recovery.
