Our 26 year old son Jim was diagnosed with cancer a couple of weeks ago. He has a tumor in the base of his skull (Ewings). The Doc says it's "very curable," but the treatment isn't a cake walk. We would appreciate your prayers for Jim, he can use all he can get.

Thanks,

Jim and Lorie

Of course! Prayers said, for your son, my best buddy (might as well be my brother) with brain, lung and hip CA; and the 4 other people I know diagnosed in the past 2 years. Terrible strain on folks, but family ties and support means the world... good luck guys.

Oh Jim, that is terrible news & i am horribly sorry to hear about this. Absolutely, all support that I can muster, is yours to pass to your son. You and Lorie hang in there, ok?

Thoughts and prayers coming your way.

I'm truly sorry to hear about this.

You're family is going to have its fair share of highs and lows coming up. Though all of this remember that all of you have friends and family that you can count on and rely on. Use them when you need help, and when you just need to vent. Keep positive and understand that you'll just have to take things one day at a time for a while.

There was a bilboard up hear in the Phoenix area that I really liked. Not sure if its still up, but it said "Whoever said winning isn't everything, never had to fight cancer." Help your son fight it by staying positive. Help him understand that people love him, even when he's feeling like crap and not in the best of moods. Stay as positive as you can, and make sure depression doesn't take over his life.
