:clapping: OK!! Don & KJ pick me up at the Chevron Station in Pismo Beach (outlet center 5 Cities Dr) at 08:30 & we'll see if any Riders stop for Coffee & to warm up at "Cold Springs" !

Should be there from 09:30 to 10:30; then leave for the Far Western to arrive appox: 11:30>

Anyone else??
Currently stuck at work and the alligators are snapping. If I'm not there by 08:40 continue on mi amigos..
Don/Barrie -

No worries meeting me tomorrow morning! I've developed a coolant leak (on the fjr  )?

In the morning (at Barrie's suggestion) I'm going to strip off some plastic and ride to Guadalupe (leaving LO at around 10:00/10:30 AM). I'm going to use the ride to the Far Western as a way to see "if" I can pinpoint the leak.

I guess I'll see you there somewhere near the Far Western, I'm not even sure if I'll make it all the way?

toast and toasters...

Bummer pouring rain here in Ventura right now Friday 8:00 pm... As of now its a no go for me unless things dry out...

Then found out I had to work and E-Mailed and canceled.................

Ouch JD, I'm just glad I didn't have to embarrass you *again* by passing you on the inside line while riding the HD.. :yahoo:

It was great to finally meet Kaitsdad hero, and long distance god, the one and only NinjaBoy!

(Sorry Hal, just had to, Dean and I had a really good chuckle recalling your post from long ago...)

This was my first time to meet Dean, and this group was fun to meet and hang with. A very good time, and none of these LD riders threatened my life, even after declaring my Candy Butt Association allegiance!

Just got home (stopped for supper in Baker or I would have been home sooner).

I'm very glad I went. Good folks, one and all.

The Bullseye 10oz steak was awesome.

I even visited Guadalupe Beach (not much ocean in my neck of the woods, so I take advantage of seeing it whenever I can.) Thanks for the warning about the sand on the road Khunajawdge. I took my time and made it to the beach without any drama.

Thanks for the invite Dean & Bill!

Dean and Bill,

Many thanks for extending the invitation and making us all feel welcome today. What a revelation when it seemed majority of bikes at the F.W.T. sported fuel cells...

And to (eeksnake) Chris,

You arrived last, rode furthest within one day round trip and (after sharing our lunch table) now I get your forum handle!

Had a great time at the Farwest RTE. Time went too fast chatting at lunch.

I stopped by The Rock Store for some Java on the way, as it was only 3 miles off the freeway. No sign of Jay or Arnie though.

Dean doing the intro bit - I think there's a couple of well known faces in the back ground. Must get to know you guys better in the future!

Some of the bikes in the parking lot before we left.

I took 166 to Frasier Park on the way back, 100 miles of limited traffic before the slog through LA, definitely one of my better decisions.

I'm a big fan of RTE's, I'm never keen to ride in groups but always enjoy the company for lunch. We need more of these in '08.

Happy New Year to all.

Hi -=Chris

It was good to speak with you in the parking of the Far Western Tavern! Glad you heeded the warning on the sand. A friend of mine was greased by the stuff on that very road and totalled his K750.

Hey? You must live in/near Vegas? Do you know Bobby Felbab of Las Vegas? We met him once on the way through and he showed us the Hoover Dam and the South West end of Lake Mead on an interesting night ride. He rides an '05 FJR 1300. I'm sorry I didn't think to ask if you needed a place to stay? My spread is only 40 miles or so north of Guadalupe in Los Osos.

Until next time, down the road somewhere?

George J. (khunajawdge)

PS. Where does your handle Eeksnake come from?
