Good evening everyone; I received a text from Joe's wife around 4pm today. He was out of surgery and in recovery. She was not able to see him as of then, but had spoken to the surgeon. He should be in recovery for about 4 hours, so most likely no updates until he's settled into a room for the night. Doc said there were challenges, but hopes are high that the work preformed will result in a positive improvement.

I asked Jacquie to pass along to Joe that we are all thinking of them both, and to tell Joe (when he stops pressing the morphine button) to stop milking it and get his butt out of there...

More to follow, I'll post as I hear news from Jacquie.

Joe is out of recovery and in his room now. "Pain pump" was mentioned, so he'll be out of it for at bit, I'm sure...

More to follow as it get it...

Keep us updated. Last year about this time I was playing with the pain pump. Hope he doesn't need a lot.

"Pain Pump."

Is that Joe-speak for his homemade wine being pumped in via IV?

My thoughts are with ya, Joe!

That's good news. I'm glad he's out and the doc is positive. I sympathize with his pain and hope it subsides quickly. You guys would be surprised at how violent that surgery is and all the power tools used. Surgery that involves bones, saws and drills, hurts bad for a bit.

Still praying for you Joe!!!

Nice to see you came through with some degree of comfort. Sounds like the drugs were good while they lasted. Don't you love that hospital staycation.

It's great you're able to get back on here so fast.

Good to hear from you Joe...
