Long story made short: I had a need to replace my (smashed) headlight assembly, but the company I ordered it from, while the cheapest available, also had the worst customer service that could be imagined and it didn't look like it was going to arrive in time for a planned trip to Ontario for CFR. So I ordered a second one from an eBay seller that had it in his hands and would expedite the shipping for me. Naturally, that means I have an extra one that I don't need.

I have not even unpacked the headlight, it is new in the original box. It is part number 5VS-84300-20-00 which comes as a complete assembly including the headlamp bulbs and rubber boots on the rear.

I did get the first one at a very good price and will pass on that savings to anyone that needs a replacement headlight assembly for their 1st Gen FJR, but doesn't want to have to wait for this website's shipping shenanigans.

Yes they are quite pricey (list price is $356 and most online retailers are selling it for over $300)

I paid $270.I will sell it for that much shipped to the CONUS. Otherwise I'll hang on to it for the next "mishap".

I just grabbed that photo off the internet. It isn't the actual part I have in the box (still unopened). If you want an actual picture I could open it and take one.

(you do know that the headlight is covered by the colored faring, right?)

Whoops, I just figured it out! That is a pic. of the assy. located inside the clear plastic outer headlight shield. Sorry!

This is the clear headlight that you can see from the front of the bike. It is a complete headlamp assembly. It resides behind the colored faring panels that cover it that have cutouts that the headlight lenses show through. There is no clear cover over this.

OK, you made me do it... Here are the pictures of the actual unit:

Can you ship to me in Alberta for the same price? I will take it if you do. Putting my "new to me" 05 back together and need one.

Just checked with the wife. She usually has her dad ship USPS stuff and a fairly big box and costs about 20 bucks. I will check with the dealer I have been buying from, too and see what the light will cost me from them.

I have been buying parts from them and they have only been a few bucks higher then the cheapest site I found and a lot cheaper then the other US site I used for part numbers and prices.

I think being that I am on the east coast of the US and you on the left-ish of the country above...

If you really need the headlamp I'd be glad to work something out with you. Just PM me and we'll see what we can do. OTOH, if you parts guy can come close, go that route.

Now that you have sold it, you are due for another Bambi encounter. Keeping it would just about ensure that it would never be needed!

I bought a used windshield motor on eBay just for the little bracket which is not sold separately. I am thinking of selling the motor as it will be good for someone that has had one fail. But chances are I will have mine go bad then won't be able to find another one for a decent price lol
