Is your bike lowered at all? Or do you have stock suspension? Cuz my bike on the side stand has a pretty significant lean to it.

Nope, Wilbers system, adjusted 1/4" longer than stock

Thanks for the condolences..guess I'm windshield and tire and mirror shopping tomorrow ! :angry2:
I know someone in West Sac that has some in stock...wanna come visit?

As all said MAJOR suckage Dave. I feel your pain as I dropped mine in the parking lot in Redding before the Hwy. 36 ride last year. Its worse when its your new bike too. Hope everything gets replaced soon and UMotors is our friend. Good luck and get her back on the road soon. Del. <><

Man that sucks! Sorry to hear about this...as I read more about this crappy sidestand, I think I will start using the centerstand more often than not.

Sorry to see the damage to your bike. OTOH, I'm glad the instability was a problem in the garage and not on the road.

Well, at least your post has caused me to want to use the center stand more often in the garage.

Hey Dave.....you sure it wasn't one of them wildlife type animals you have running around in them woods (they may have helped the bike over?)....you know like one of those big unfed forest cats maybe?....

>>When there is NO air in the tire the bike stands up straight and leans over to the right and hits the ground. I'm assuming the weight of the battery made it flip over to the right. I found the other pin hole, plugged it and aired it up, bike immediatly leans left when aired up.

Wow thats pretty incredible. The 03 sidestands must be different cause I've had overnight rear flats without any incident both stock and in lowered state.

FJRPierre it's not nice to tease HIGHLANDER....he doesn't know you have a specially imported "French" Canadian model  ....

I have a stock wind screen that is yours for the asking. Mine was wearing the V-Stream when I totalled her. If the stock screen can help, zip me some address info. and it will be on its way.

Sorry that happen to you but if you think the FJR is unstable try the warrior at 70 mph. Lets see how can I put this? Lets just say there might be a stain in your underwear when you get it stopped!

I'm sorry to hear this happened. I hope the repairs go as smoothly as possible.

Luckily for me I've been using the centerstand when parked in the garage overnight. Hey, any good aftermarket sidestands out there with bigger feet/a little more lean angle?

grind the kickstand stop and go look in vendor offers...Skyway is offering (going to be?) a add on to the kickstand to give it a bigger foot

Very cool of you Scab :clapping:

Dave,

Sorry for you and the bike.

I almost never use the center stand in the garage. I'm glad you shared the problem with photo as I will now start using the center stand and rearrange where I park the FJR.

At least now I know where them nails got to that were lying around in my parking lot. :(

That truly sucks Dave, I'll hook you up with a new slider if that'll help you feel any better?

Centerstand in the garage it will be from here on out. I'd hate to damage my tool box with that big damn heavy motorcycle.

I say earth quake or I had to much to drink ........ last night uh baby I had to much to drink....... laaast night

and over she went

I can,t remember the band I thnk the troggs

weekend rider :)

Thanks for the post. As a newbie I had it fall already when the F'N side stand was not fully down. Almost always use the side stand, I've never considered a flat tire will straighten up the bike. Will keeping something heavy in the left bag prevent it?
