Here you go Bill, you can start your early worshiping at the BMW Motorraden Altar! WARNING: Three of these motos in the slideshow invaded Poland.
When I saw those those three bikes I went and hid under the bed. I was just wondering if I should wear my Yamaha Racing cap when we go or will I be arrested and sent to the ovens.

I love the Hofbrau Haus, I know that it is very touristy; but that was my regular watering hole when I was in the US Army and living in Bavaria for two years.

https://gogermany.abo..._Top_Sights.htm https://www.angermaier-onlineshop.de/ Angermaier has been manufacturing Lederhosen und Dirndls for many centuries!

We can get our matching Team FJR Lederhosen in der Altplatz, the Old Town District of Munchen. If you are devout and pious I will teach you the secret BMW handshake and let you recite the BMW Motorraden Blood Oath; if you are really sincere, I will also teach you a few Wehrmacht marching songs!
I'll need to drink a lot more kool-aid before we go before you see me goosestepping around the BMW factory. The only German songs I know are from Octoberfest when I went to school at University of Waterloo. The Kitchener Octoberfest is the largest festival of that type in North America.

The beer's good and watching the frauleins carry 6 at a time is entertaining. Don't miss out on the big pretzels.

This Friday night 1/13 we AZ Beemers are having an Alps Extreme Planning Meeting at the home of AZB Bruce Cain in Gilbert, Arizona. I fully realize that you Kalifornicators and Canuckistanis cannot possibly attend this session, but if you have any specific questions about our adventure: Get the questions to Papa Chuy and we will get them answered.
Is there anything to pass on from the meeting or were you too drunk to remember whether you were there or not??

Si Paco, all of we AZ Beemers are arriving in Munich on Sunday, August 5. https://www.deutsches-museum.de/index.php?id=1&L=1

GB_Umschlag-2.jpg

On Monday 8/6 we're touring the Deutsches Museum of Science and Technology and on Tuesday 8/7 we're touring the BMW Museum at Olympia Park. Afterwards, we'll visit Dachau Memorial.

A number of the AZ Beemers also own Bimmer automobiles, so we also are going to tour the BMW Car Plant Assembly Line. Tu Papa Chuy Viejo is personally pining for a BMW M3 Convertible!

I need some help from one of you Really Smart People going on the FJR Forum Alps Extreme M/C Tour, which means I am probably talking to just the Canadians!

I have been trying for two months now to buy a flight for around $1,350 to and from Germany, which is twice the amount of my flight to and from Frankfurt 5 years ago.

I have not been able to buy an 8/1/12 Phoenix to Berlin and 8/15 Munich to Phoenix flight for less than $1,500. Being a tight fisted miserly Mick this really bothers me.

Since you Canuckistanis are snowed in anyway, between watching TV Hockey and porn on the computer, do you know any means to buy this at a poor Retiree's price?

Hey der Hosers, can one of you Ontario Canuckistanis please hook up the Huskie Dogs to your snow sled and mush on over to Lindsay to check up on fjrob1300?

I sent Rob a letter with Rider Magazine Alps and Dolomites Touring Article and an Edelweiss Bike Booking Form a week ago. Can Canada Post deliver to Lindsay?

Wait just a minute, fjrob1300 and Canadian FJR may be out on the Arctic ice hunting polar bears right now! Good Hunting, Scott and Rob!

Atencion Los Canuckistanos y SacramentoMiguel, the Arizona contingent has already booked their rooms at Munich Europaiescher Hof Hotel for the nights of Sunday through Tuesday; evening arrival on August 6 through the morning of August 8.

I will be booking myself and Miss Donna for nights of Sunday 8/6 through the morning of Wednesday 8/8. If you are coming to Munich early, you better think about booking your Munich rooms very soon. August is vacation time for the Germans!

"The following is what was provided on the hotel Europaeischer Hof Hotel:

https://www.heh.de/default.aspx?lang=en

The prices for a twin room for the hotel below including tax and breakfast is 92 euros ($119.25)

The prices for a single room including tax and breakfast is 71.5 euros ($92.60)

Let me know what everyone thinks."

Hey yamafitter, get your ass out of the pool halls and find your Amigo Gordo this flight for $1,350 or less. I'll have you help me drink the $200 savings versus the $1,550!

OK, I looked into it and unless you are willing to check in as baggage the best you are going to do is the price you already have flying out of Phoenix. The only option I can think of at this point is to box yourself up and try UPS.

There is one other option. If you get to Las Vegas on the cheap there are flights to Munich for $944 return according to FlightNetwork.com. Just a thought.

I now need to get back to watching pornographic hockey on my computer.

Many thanks Bill, your report was unfortunately what I was expecting. There was a flurry of e-mails among the Arizona Alps Extreme Travelers yesterday, air fares have gone through the roof and everyone was all pissed off about it.

But it is what it is and I will book by the end of the month to have my flights all locked in. It really hurts my tight-cheap-miserly soul though, we Irish will fart on a rock to save the grease! We also use both sides of the toilet paper!

I may have edited my response after you responded. I take it flying out of Las Vegas is not a workable solution then??

https://www.flightnetwork.com/flights/fares Thanks Bill, I just gave it a shot. Using Las Vegas as the home base, it was still $1,596 in Canadian dollars; with the taxes included. Basically the same as the $1,550 USD I was quoted by Priceline for using Phoenix as the home base, I am just going to suck it up and pay THE MAN! Boo, hoo, hoo!

I missed the small print about the taxes. Bastards. They recently changed the rules up here and now the airlines have to quote the prices with all the taxes in so it is clear exactly what it is going to cost up front. What a bizarre concept!!

Hey Alps Extreme Members, check this out; these pictures were taken today, the Italianos have actually plowed Passo Gardena and Passo Pordoi! Usually those Dagos are just as lazy as our johnny80s is, they just wait for the sun to melt the snow off of the Dolomite roads in Springtime!

Wow this thread is getting a little mixed up. It's getting tough to easily find information.

Maybe the author could up date the first post OR maybe send out an group email. :D

Now in saying all that... We have booked a room at the hotel... well it is a hotel and it's in Munich and it is near the train station.
