Here you go Bill, enjoy a nice video on the BMW Museum! ...
If I understand correctly we need to book reservations for the tour. Are you booking for everyone or do we need to make our own reservations??
I was going to make reservations for everyone, I was holding off to see if there were any last minute FJR Forum and AZ Beemer Folks who were joining us on the Alps Extreme Tour. But Tom reported back that FJRob1300 is not going and when I last spoke to AJ: HotRodZilla's were not going.

Let me post this up to https://www.azbeemers.org/ to let the AZ Beemer Club Members know that we are finalizing and closing any further participants effective February 15 for the Alps Extreme Tour 2012. Then I will email Munich for our BMW Museum and Factory Tour Reservations.

...but we can get snacks for the fat guys like yamafitter - Bill F. here! ...
Bustanut is correct. You are a jackass.

In my case it is spelled "PHAT".
Nah, I just got a return email from Barry and BikerGeek99 - Andy: The both said that it was FAT!
Your glasses need to be tossed... PHAT ain't fat :p Bill is a well respected drinkin' buddy, I ain't gonna call him fat
I stand fully corrected then Bust, Bill is just simply "pleasantly plump"!

It's good that you're keeping the heat on this trip, Don, because otherwise I'd barely remember that we were going in a few months. But maybe you're trying to entice one or two others to sign up, so good luck with that. The more the merrier.

As for me, I'm no longer using the ponderous "FJR Forum Alps Extreme M/C Tour" title when I refer to this adventure (especially since it has more Arizona Beemers signed up than FJR Forum folks). Instead, I've given it my own designation: "Occupy the Alps!" Feel free to use it too. ;)

Huh? Did you and Old Michael share a hashish bong for lunch? Again?

Besides Tom, Pam and Myself: Is anyone going to be in Munich for dinner on Sunday evening August 5? I want to eat at the famous Palais Keller. It is in the ancient salt cellar below the fancy Bayerischer Hof Hotel. I will need to make reservations for this place. https://www.bayerischerhof.de/en/restaurants/palais-keller/index.php

Bavarian specialties at Palais Keller:

“Reiberdatschi” with home marinated salmon and dill mustard Home made pork’s aspic with sour cream and rosemary potatoes Traditional “Presssack” with gherkins, red onions and radish Salad from “Regensburger” sausage

“Swiss style“ sausage salad with Emmentaler cheese

Bavarian “Leberkäs” from the oven ... grilled on request, served with a fried egg sunny side up

Bavarian “Leberkäs” from the oven – for two – Choice of bacon-cabbade-salad or potato salad

Bavarian plate Veal burger, mild smoked black pudding, “Presssack” Weihenstephaner Camembert, “Obatzta”, liver paté South Tyrolean bacon, radish, gherkins and butter

Selection of Bavarian Alp cheese

I step off the express train from Berlin at 1530 hours on 8/5, der Deutsche Bahn always runs on time! I was thinking of dinner at 1900 hours, gives me some time for a liter, or five, of Biere first!

If anyone wants to ride the local trains from Erding to MUC Airport on Wednesday, August 15 here is my flight information: Lufthansa Flight #428 departing at 1125 hours. Mach Schnell, Bitte!

I'll be in Munich in the late morning on Aug 5th so you can add me to the reservation list for dinner on Sunday evening Aug 5th. I can also make sure you get to the airport on Aug 15th since my flight leaves just a few minutes after yours.

Es sehr gut, Wilhelm!

Add another, Don. I don't have an arrival time yet, but for sure will be there for Sunday dinner. NO freaking idea what any of those dishes will even look like, but I'm an adventurer. Sort of the Adam Richman of Sacramento!

BMW Welt,

I am a Club Officer of AZ Beemers, BMW Motorcycle Owners of America Charter #89. As a BMW Club, we are participating in the Edelweiss Bike Tours Alps Extreme trip of Wednesday, August 8 through Wednesday, August 15. Our base city for this Motorcycle Adventure is Munich. The vast majority of the bikes rented by us are BMW's.

On Tuesday, August 7 we would like to tour both the BMW Museum and BMW Plant. On your web site we see the BMW Plant Tours are from 9am to 3pm and the BMW Museum Tours are from 10:30am to 4:30pm. We would like to schedule our 13 member group for the BMW Plant Tour at 9am and the BMW Museum Tour at 1pm.

Thank you very much for booking our Museum/Plant Tours and we're looking forward to seeing the Point of Origin of our BMW Automobiles and our BMW Motorcycles!

Sincerely yours,

Just kidding. Thanks to taking the lead and herding up all the cats involved in this adventure. :clapping:

Well FJR Forum Alps Extreme Motorcycling Folks, I will have to reapply for our BMW Plant and BMW Tour Museum Reservations on April 1.

It seems Hans und Dieter at Berlin BMW remember a Sergeant Major Fitkowski from the Polish Resistance Forces in Gdansk and they want to do further investigations!

Buenos Dias Tomaso, Que Paso Amigo! I sure do not mind getting to der Flughafen an hour early, if yamafitter doesn't mind spending an extra hour with me in the Munich Airport Bar: Then all four of us will ride the 06:57 train from Erding to der Munchen Flughafen Terminal. We can even have an early breakfast at our Erding hotel!
