Well the Ice Age has temporarily receded, so I was able to wheel the bike out for a quick blast today. Here's a few more.

Here's some signs from the loop I rode today:

My own city limit:

Maybe cropped is better:

Rode to Tallahassee. Isn't Tallahassee in the original song? Can't be bothered to find it and play it right now. . . On the way, you go by this:

Tallahassee sign. There's probably a more picturesque sign on another road into town somewhere, but this is the one I came in on:

Florida's high-rise capitol building, with the old capitol in front:

North of Tallahassee is the town of Havana, FL. You don't pronounce it like you think, you say it as if you were calling that girl on Wheel of Fortune: "Hey, Vanna!"

My ride went from Tallahassee north to Bainbridge (just so I could add Georgia to my sig map) then across to Dothan, AL, and back home. I wanted to get to Dothan before the Yammy dealer closed, so I didn't think I had time to stop when I passed the post office for Pansey, AL. I really wanted that picture!

OK, TWN, I made a few stops this morning on the way to work. Hopefully you'll recognize these:

Mr. Washington:

Mr. Jefferson:

Mr. Lincoln:

U.S. Capitol (setting sun would look better but I'll leave work in the dark):

A little White House. The Secret Service guy walking toward me got REAL interested when I said it was for some guy going by the name of TwoWheel Nut. Why's that? Maybe at some point I can get you a closer shot from the other side.

And last but not least is one for the Viet Nam vets in the crowd. The Washington monument is in the background, to the left of the sign:

TWN, just giving this a bump to see if you can give us an update on how it's progressing. Do you know how many more places you need? Or are there specific ones needed to finish a rhyme with an earlier lyric?

Craig

Out and about today. This is for TWN's complaint about Florida being flat. OK, there are buildings taller than this, but it is elevation!

On the way up there, went through this town. After passing through, I think this picture should be in the dictionary for the word "misnomer."

I think two wheelnut mabe have a problem with TEXAS?.........................I think the video was great..mabe because I was born and raised in Texas, I know you Californicated people HATE Texas, so I can understand youre quick hatred with the thread....I maybe wrong, but if a person would post a thread with the enjoyments of Motorcycling in the great state of California, I would probably enjoy it just as much as I did this thread....

Weird freakin' weather here, but I ain't complaining about today. 55° today, 2" of snow and gusty winds tomorrow! So I put in some miles today and have a few more contributions. I was hoping for a whole stanza (Mitchellville, Pleasantville, Sandy Hill, Spring Hill), but the last two didn't have signs that I could park by, so I added the other two instead. Anyone have a locale that rhymes with "Liquor Store"?
