I call BS. I think you're getting ready to go to Sturgis!!

Nah..... not Sturgis Fred. Sir Richie is getting just a wee bit too old for actual riding. He needs to trailer the FJR down to the local coffee house for those moto-bike meet-ups.

Richard, I would like to thank you for posting the picture of your new FJR in the truck. I really like the ramps you made/bought but would prolly use them mostly for dirt bike stuff since the thin single ramp I use scares the heck out of me.

I would NEVER attempt to load my FJR into a truck using that ramp, but yours looks doable. Nice.

Now...I would like to point out that the rules for this Forum changed earlier today. The area where this thread is located is now strictly prohibited from having "inane crap" posted within it.

My understanding is that what was acceptable here before the rule change is not acceptable after the rule change. Specifically because this thread is outside the area where limited rule bound off topic conversation be tolerated.

So after the rule change today, any posts that drift off topic and can be considered "inane crap" are subject to reporting to admins, review, removal, and admonishment of the person(s) responsible for the offending post(s).

Correct??

That's what I'm thinking.

I mean...If we're gonna at BS games and cry about things.

Oh and Richard...I still love your ramp. Gotta stay on topic you know.

If y'all (yes, I said Y'all!) thought those videos of doofuses loading their bikes in trucks was funny, you should have seen me and Patriot PUSHING his FJR onto the trailer without any help from the engine. And yes, my truck did block the entire road in front of his house.

Next time, video this procedure for all your forum friends and the general YouTube population. Cussing is encouraged!

I don't like wooden ramps because in time they rot. They are heavy. You can't just fold them up. The tape will fall off.

I use my low boy trailer without any ramps. See it tilts so I just ride it up right into the trailer.

When I load into my Toy Hauler I have a three peice aluimum folding ramps I use to extend and lower the angle of the total ramp.

I don't think I would have just bought a truck to load and haul my bike around in. An enclosed trailer would be easier and nobody would tell if you had a bike in or not. Plus it would still be clean when you got to where you wanted to go.

Real trucks don't need spark plugs!

I was (as usual) given excellent advice by a forum member and was instructed to NOT video tape that. It never ends well on Youtube. I also did not want to rub salt in the wound and display the true misery of the situation.

Besides that, they say the camera adds 10+ pounds. I am afraid of what I might look like...

Speaking of looks, I wanted so badly to make a comment on that "Pirate" picture Fred W posted. I did run out of courage though...I could not think of a single way to tie the terms "motorcycle ramp", "walking the plank", and "pirate booty" together and make it sound useful...

Firstly do you really think i would post a video if I dropped the bike off the truck.....not likely.......just like you wont see me cross a double yellow in one of my vids....

Secondly Huron that IS a three piece aluminum folding ramp....it just has plywood inserts that can be replaced, the other thing is that in California you are limited to 55 while towing a trailer.....me and 55 don't play well together...

If you dropped your bike loading it I think you have enough FJR friends where this could not be contained - so yeah post it. However I would be very surprised if you did not succeed loading it safely.

What a load of crap, Richard. Since when do you give a **** what number's on a highway sign? You and 70 don't play so well together, either.
