I don't like wooden ramps because in time they rot. They are heavy. You can't just fold them up. The tape will fall off.

I use my low boy trailer without any ramps. See it tilts so I just ride it up right into the trailer.

When I load into my Toy Hauler I have a three peice aluimum folding ramps I use to extend and lower the angle of the total ramp.

I don't think I would have just bought a truck to load and haul my bike around in. An enclosed trailer would be easier and nobody would tell if you had a bike in or not. Plus it would still be clean when you got to where you wanted to go.

Real trucks don't need spark plugs!
Not necessarily true Tom...

Cool video!!!

A few thoughts........

- No YouTube 'special' moments. I was a little disappointed in that.

- How may idjits does it take to load and film and FJR being loaded on a pick-up???

- Your assistants, as well as the lead actor, are ugly mo-fos.

- Cool on the dual camera angles! But.........

- Where was the underside mounted camera angle?

- And....... where the **** was your protective gear? As much as I would like to steal your wife, on some days I am still a bit fond of you.

My assistants were there to see if we could get a Harley in the truck and to check out the new ramp......

There really is very little clearance when loading even in the SLOPPED driveway....

you think i am gonna gear up for that!!!!!!

Richard, I think the criticism is that ATGATT would have made for a more dramatic video . . . in that SLOPPED driveway.

Now my feelings are hurt.
Since I live at the beach, I practically LIVE in shorts and flip flops (unless I'm wearing ATGATT).

(My sniveling isn't off topic 'cause shorts & flip flops were mentioned by the OP, in response to the ATGATT suggested to be appropriate for loading an 'FJR in the truck for the first time'; and I live at the beach - where there is sand - and sand was mentioned as a way of adding traction to the ramp, which was used to load the 'FJR in the truck for the first time'; and I'm wearing the aforementioned shorts and flip flops while I'm reading the thread about the 'FJR in the truck for the first time', and ***watching an excellent video of an FJR being loaded in the truck for the SECOND time.)

Great video, Richard. The angle of the driveway was apparent as you were attempting to back the bike out. It looked like you were trying to PULL the bike off of a backwards-mounted center stand! Nice demo.

Now about those relatives of yours at their wedding...

[switching to decaf!]
