Jdog and i were on the 101 today heading home from Pacific grove when we saw an FJR with pillion heading north thru Pismo, just wondering who it was???????????.

No, Richard, it wasn't me. Mananna me and Airhead Barrie are going for a ride, but today was chores and preparing for nightshift. Wish I'd of known you were passing through.. would have saved me all these sore muscles from cutting firewood..

the ride was fantastic, bit wet on the way back but for the modt part it was very good. Will post ride report and pics when I feel up for it.

I think it was probably me. Had my wife on the back, Blue 06 with bags. I would have been going north Sunday. Left Long Beach around, 9:00am, and got to San Francisco around 5:30pm. Pismo between 12-1pm maybe, because we had lunch in Paso Robles. Just got back tonight so I just noticed the post.

Great ride, between LA and SFC, just too bad it has to start in traffic and end in traffic. + no tickets.

Long Beach, I am a relative newbie here, just picked up a used 06 in late March, and drove back from Alabama with the wife. I asked her if she wanted to flying out to Alabama to pick up a bike and drive it back. Response "Can we go next week?" Now that was the right answer. I think she is a keeper. She likes traveling and I like riding, so it works out. Our longest day coming back was 660 miles and that morning it got down to 23 degrees F, and she handled it no problem.

My first solo outing (significant mileage) was several weeks ago, and I ran into Jill (Silver Penguin) and hubby, off of Lockwood Valley, North of Ojai/Frasier park. You guys are everywhere!

I have wanted this bike for years, but finally pulled the trigger. I am looking forward to a week long solo ride the first week of August, not sure where to go yet. Being a sport biker mostly, I have done all of the local roads around So Cal and even up to SFC. So the FJR was the next step to expanding my horizon.

Hopefully our paths will cross with you only being in Torrance, and what seems to be a pretty tight and very friendly community.

Where were you coming back from? You were on you FJR coming south when you spotted us?
