Don't know what you folks have been doing during the lockdown. I've been spending some quality time in my garage:
I bought my 2005 new, and rode her to Colorado and Yellowstone, and from Virginia to Jacksonville to San Diego and back. She was fun, capable and reliable. By 2009 she and I had notched 40,000 trouble-free miles. Then came temptation in the form of a 2009 ZX6R. Track days replaced street riding, and the FJR was shoved rudely to a garage corner while the young interloper grabbed my time, money and attention. Now, 11 years older and in the throes of a pandemic (VIR is closed, dammit!!!) I am trying to make amends to the FJR. I've cleaned her front brake calipers while replacing the pads, repaired defective brake light wiring, upgraded the original CCT, cleaned and regreased the drivetrain from the universal joint back to the rear axle, and replaced the air filter, oil/oil filter and shaft oil. Next up is a Wilbers shock refresh and replacing the OEM front shocks with Traxxion Dynamics AK-20 cartridges. Hopefully by then the pandemic will have burned itself out, and I'll be able to ride her through the Rockies again.
